Ideally
pearls and beads should be re-strung every few years depending on the
amount of wear. I can restring all kinds of beaded jewellery on
professional beading wire as well as re-knot pearls on silk giving
your jewellery a new lease of life. Some repairs are very simple and
can be carried out instantly, others - like pearl knotting, take
longer and need to be left. Repairs generally take around two weeks.
Prices
for repairs are confirmed after assessing the piece, but as a rough
guide you can expect to pay around £5.00 for beads to be restrung on
professional beading wire and from £15.00 for a full knotted restring.
On the spot repairs often cost only the price of your replacement
parts.
Should your piece of jewellery be beyond repair
then it will almost certainly be possible to use it components in a
complete redesign.
